THE EXPERIENCE
Infrared saunas heat you very gently and slowly, making it a very peaceful experience for most people. You may find that you do not sweat for the first 10-15 minutes, or not very much at all your first time. With increased usage, you will likely notice an increased ability to sweat more productively.
Because you are in a private suite during your sauna session, you can choose to relax however you please during this time. Some choose to disconnect and meditate, while others listen to music or a podcast. It is completely up to you!
It is important to note that with our sauna pods, your head is not in the sauna and not being heated. This allows for a much more comfortable sweat session.
After sweating, you will feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. You may notice glowing skin, diminished wrinkles, muscle and injury relief, as well as a sense of calmness.
How TO PREPARE
DRINK UP
We recommend coming fully hydrated and even eating a little snack before your sweat session. It is important to drink plenty of water before, during and after your sweat. We have complimentary water available should you choose to bring your reusable bottle, as well as cold-pressed juices and bottled water available for purchase.
WHAT TO WEAR
We recommend sweating in as little (or no) clothing as possible. Loose-fitting clothing or athleisure wear is ideal to wear after your appointment. We provide all towels and even cold towels to use during your session.
REMOVE MAKEUP, LOTIONS AND OILS
We recommend removing makeup and any lotions or oils before your sweat session. We have makeup remover wipes available for use. Clean skin ensures that you are not letting any toxins in while you are sweating toxins out. Bare skin is recommended for sauna use, as some ingredients in lotions/creams can react with the heat, causing a rash or burn. If you have recently had a spray tan or applied self-tanner, it is best to postpone your sauna session.

Please remember we are not medical professionals and always recommend checking with your primary physician if you have any questions or concerns regarding infrared sauna use.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY SHOULD I SWEAT?
Where do we begin?! There are so many benefits from sweating that it has become a celebrity “must have" in their beauty and fitness routine. Sweating is a great way to help realize your personal fitness, wellness and beauty goals. By increasing circulation, your body benefits from a number of positive effects, such as glowing skin, pain relief, weight loss, stress relief, increased athletic performance, improved immune function, injury recovery and more.
WHAT IS INFRARED HEAT?
Infrared is a light wave of electromagnetic spectrum, that is invisible to the human eye. It penetrates human tissue, which in turn produces a host of anti-aging and health benefits.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL SAUNAS?
We get this question a lot! Unlike traditional Finnish convection saunas which heat the body from the outside-in, resulting in hot, often intolerable air, our medical-grade infrared saunas heat the body from the inside-out, leaving the air pleasant and comfortable, allowing for a longer sweat. In your sauna pods, your head is out and not exposed to the high heat.
HOW MANY CALORIES DO YOU BURN IN ONE SESSION?
Get ready for something that will blow your mind! You can burn upwards of 600 calories in just one 30-minute sweat session. Yes, you read that right. You can burn up to 600 calories just by relaxing. We like to call it “effective relaxation.”
HOW DO YOU BURN CALORIES WHILE SWEATING?
Infrared saunas have been proven to aid in weight loss by heating your core temperature to induce sweating. Increases in blood flow and heart rate are a result, which, much like moderate exercise, has shown to help you lose weight. Saunas also help you lose weight by easing aches and pains associated with weight training, helping you get back into the gym the next day.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Our standard sweat sessions is 30 minutes long. However, if you are a veteran to sweating, we also offer power sweat sessions that last for 45 minutes.
